MID MAY - OCTOBER - every Wed. & Sat. - TAILGATE FARMER’S MARKET. Local growers set up in the Badcock Home Furnishings parking lot to sell their fresh produce throughout the summer & fall growing season. 8 a.m. – 12 noon.
June 21 - Sat – 13th annual DOWNTOWN STUDIO & GALLERY TOUR.
June 27, July 11 & 25 & Aug. 8 - Fri nights - 4 MOUNTAIN STREET DANCES. Downtown is Alive at Night. Put on your cloggin’ & square dancin’ shoes and enjoy an old-fashioned mountain hoe down! Live mountain music, demonstrations and instruction by local clogging teams. Refreshments available. In front of the Haywood County Courthouse. 6:30 -9 pm.

August 30 - Sat. - BLOCK PARTY, Downtown is Alive at Night, dancing in the street with live bands performing 60’s & 70’s music and classic rock, music starts at 7 p.m., children’s area, eats & treats, restaurants open, a portion of Main Street is closed.
August 29 & August 30 – Fri & Sat – 36th annual SMOKY MOUNTAIN FOLK FESTIVAL. Two full evenings, celebrating our mountain folk music. Stuart Auditorium, Lake Junaluska, call 452-1688.
October 11- Sat – 25th annual CHURCH STREET ART & CRAFT SHOW. Main Street is transformed into an art and craft marketplace for this one-day event; widely know as one of the finest in the region. October 18- Sat - 20th annual APPLE HARVEST FESTIVAL. Main Street. Live mountain music & dance, craft & demonstration booths, apples, cider, fresh fried pies and other apple delicacies. 10am - 5pm.
First Friday of the Month- Art After Dark. Downtown Waynesville Art Studios and Galleries remain open until 9 pm with special showings, refreshments and entertainment.
November 23 - Sun - "Holiday Open House”. An Holiday Tradition on Main St. Enjoy the sights, scents & sounds as the holiday season begins in our festively decorated shops and galleries. 12 noon – 5 p.m.
December 1 - Mon - Waynesville Christmas Parade - Main Street. 4 pm.
December – 6 & 13, Sat evenings - “A Night Before Christmas". Come share our Holiday Tradition. Caroling, live Music, a live Nativity, Pictures with Santa, old-fashioned wagon rides, storytelling, poetry and more. Main Street is lined with hundreds of luminaries. Shops and restaurants remain open till 9 pm.

HART is Haywood County's community amateur theater organization and one of the
region's most active theater companies, presenting performances on the mainstage
and in the smaller studio theater in its home. The Performing Arts Center is
